Saw one on my way to school. It had one of those lift tailgate things

Yup, bigger frame, axles, and the 6.0 engine. Highly sought after used I guess.

With the Vortec 8100. They were pretty popular among landscapers here in the Garden State. They could tow up to 12,000 pounds, so it could carry the crew/family and pull any trailer you wanted.

The 6.0L was the second gen, the body-cladded ones got the 8.1L in the 2500.

Good point. Ah the 8.1 - pass anything but the gas station. To be fair it’s doesn’t get any worse mileage than my 4.5 does

I’ve driven one. With the 8.1L. Torque for days. Hops curbs at the Chicago Auto Show well. Hard to park, however.

I always wanted one. If they had put a Duramax in these, it’d be perfect.

Yessir, 496 CID. It can pull a city block sideways. If a piston goes bad, you can replace it with a coffee can.

I wouldn't doubt that! That's 6.4L more than what I currently drive!
